The Land of 10,000 Lakes offers you and your horse over 550 miles of horse-friendly park trails to explore. Based on the cold winters, you can seek a stall board with turnout as well as covered arenas, but pasture boarding is available.
Ancient glaciers left the terrain with extensive woodlands, fertile prairies, and innumerable lakes. While exploring the land you may see moose, bald eagles, bears and wolves and be on the lookout for the only two venomous snakes, the Timber Rattlesnake and the Eastern Massasauga. The climate has four distinct seasons with very cold winters and hot summers, and average rainfall of about 25". Pasture forage will consist of Canary Grass, Blue Grass, Brome, Big Bluestem and Prairie Grass.
