Nevada offers 600 miles of horseback-riding-friendly parks spread across over 150 mountain ranges, flat valleys and deserts. You will have boarding offerings of dry lot with shelter, pasture boarding with shelter and, in some places, stall boarding with turnout.
While horseback riding be on the lookout for scorpions and these venomous rattlesnakes - sidewinder, Western diamondback, Great Basin, speckled and Mojave green. On occasion you may see a wild burro, bighorn sheep, mountain lion or black bear. The state averages 8" of rainfall and has warm to hot summers and mild winters. Pasture grasses may contain mixes of tall fescue, orchard grass, red and white clover, and Bermuda grass.
